I purchased a small purse at a thrift store and decorated the front with some of the excess stash I had sitting in a box.

My goal was to make a statement piece that would be a great party accessory so I added lots of glitter pieces.

I placed the larger pieces first and applied everything with hot glue gun. Then I filled in all the empty spaces with what’s would fit.

It turned out so pretty that I decided to make another. They are just the right size for an evening out and I think would get lots of compliments.

  • Cheryl Hartwick says:

Fabulous idea: I shall have to try this one. I have heaps of tacky ‘jewellery’ pieces from my mother-in-law’s collection.

  • Alysen says:

Sparkly & Chic! Are they heavy?

  • Terrific idea. I love the glitz, but in my part of the country, glue would not hold up. With temp’s over 100, the glue would soften and everything would fall off. I have had that happen. It is very embarrassing. Try sewing everything on instead.

    Beautiful
