Complimenting Your Jewelry

Not everyone is a visual learner meaning it’s hard for some to visualize what earrings might look good with what kind of necklace.
It’s up to you to present the best combination with displaying your jewelry in a certain way that it will compliment the earrings or necklace and possibly get a double sale! You know your jewelry and what would look good together even if it isn’t a set.

Great upsell tip

With pairing the pieces I am sure you can upsell the complimenting pieces. Thanks for giving this tip.
Rearranging your Displays
by: Michelle ~ Atomic Swag
I work a very large event once a year in Vegas that lasts for 4 days. I learned a trick with my friend that sells next to me. We sell more than just jewelry but this works with everything you sell.
When you work an event that lasts a day or two or even just a really long event. My girlfriend and I have found that when we rearrange our displays by putting jewelry that was lower higher, higher jewelry lower and always move our stuff around people think you put new stuff out and they always say “Oh! I didn’t see this yesterday” and it always leads to sells.
When people stop by your booth once and see your merchandise they remember your booth and they think they’ve seen it all, although they do miss a lot. After day one, they’re bored of the booths so keep yours moving and fresh. It’s like a new booth to them.
What doesn’t sell on the first day, I stick those pieces out as the main display, move around things and people always think I brought out new stuff. Bring extra cute bowls or frames as displays and put out new displays daily and people have to come look at it.
Every day they come back to my booth asking what I have new for the day, even though its the same stuff just shuffled around. They always come to our booths and usually skip others because their booth havn’t moved an inch for days and they assume they’ve seen it all and they’re bored.
People come to our booth just to hang out and kill time until the next band plays and they usually always buy something that we’ve just moved from a bowl to a frame from one end of the table to the other. Dumb trick but it works.
My Favorite thing to do…
by: Lisa
I do the same thing at all of my sales. This keeps a few things going for me:
~ people think I’m always so busy and that I must sell so much that I have to constantly be arranging, etc. This keeps interest like you were saying. People want to see whats going on.
~ people get a feel for the true enjoyment I have for what I do… this gives me opportunities for that opening conversation that usually leads to sales and even other opportunities. When people see that you love what you do, it interests them.
~ my displays always stay “nice” to the eyes. A booth can become a mess in a hurry making your display look like a rummage sale if you don’t keep on top of it.
~ and last but not least… I simply LOVE what I do and that is why I do (making some money is always nice too! LOL)
Great Ideas

Those are great ideas. I have my earrings in a Hair Salon and I do the same thing. When I go by to see if anything has sold, I change the earrings around and add new ones. It really does work.
