Giant Staples… One More Time

This is # 3 in the giant staple designs and unfortunately it will be the last. I only have two staples left for a pair of ear rings and no new source of supply.

The beads I used are recycled glass from Africa in an absolutely gorgeous blue color. Like many beads made of recycled glass these have over size holes so they were quite easy to use with the staples. I chose beading chain to string the necklace since the glass is heavy and the holes aren’t very smooth.

I used recycled copper wire on the beads that hang from the bottom loops of the staples. I t is a fairly heavy wire so I could make the eyes large enough to hold the beads and not let them fall off.

All in all it has been a grand experiment playing with these unconventional components.
