Lizards and Flowers

I make one of a kind pieces of jewelry…one of a kind mainly because I up-cycle vintage and antique jewels to new and different.

Thus, I may only ever find one older piece to play with and alter. That said, I made this sweet necklace with an antique Art Nouveau brooch.

I received so much attention from this listing, and it sold in record time. It originally had an enormous pink glass stone, so I changed the stone, cut a good part of it away, soldered on jump rings.

The two stamped brass beads were old Banana Bob stampings, two soldered together and a little more work, now they are super spacer beads.

Then I missed it, so I went on the quest to find another identical brooch…and did! Haven’t finished it yet, and it will of course be different, and I think it may stay mine.
