Catch a Falling Ginko

I learned the art of Curi bouli (boiling leather) from a very talented leather artist Claire Renaud.

Catch a falling ginko

It is an ancient technique first used to make armour! The leather is first cut into the design and carved, boiled quickly and then dyed.

The boiling helps curl this leaf into a natural shape. Finished with a braided leather cord, you have a one-of-a-kind piece of art!
