Romance in a Tin!
by Kim for Gina Tucker Design.

For valentines day, I wanted to create a romantic type atmosphere, so I went looking for some tins. Think back to the 40’s and those war movies. I found these gorgeous tins which I am offering (as per your suggestion) as gift packaging for Valentines day.
I will be filling the tin with white feathers for that extra romantic appeal. The Pros are its beautiful and can fit quite a large piece of jewellery. Cons are that because it is large, shipping will cost more and I will need to wrap the jewellery to ensure it is not damaged.

ilove the idea–especially the feathers–but thoze tins most have cost a bit each–are you just eating that, or are you offereing the tin separately at an additional cost?

Hi Pat,
The tins were not as expensive as they look, I found them locally and unexpectedly as part of an end of season sale when I was looking for some ribbons. I would have loved to have purchased more of them. I am not adding the tin as an extra, I wanted to create some interest as I have just launched my pieces online and am not sure which ones will sell well. Not all pieces are available with the tin, only selected more expensive items.
You could probably create the same thing with a plain tin and some decoupage.
Good press…

Very lovely and creative! I agree that something like this could draw some attention to your business and be a good marketing idea.
I have always been willing to try everything at least once to see if it works for me. I also like that you made it limited… Makes it more desirable, and doesn’t cost a big amount overall.
I have always loved little boxes and containers, so I think I am going to keep my eyes open for a deal. This will be fun to try.
Thanks for sharing!
