Antique (#1 Half) Buckle Necklace
I enjoy so many articles, tips and posts in JMJ!
I also make necklaces using old buckles.
I’ve scoured flea markets and estate sales for many years in search of old and unusual beads and components to use in my jewelry.

Repurposed Victorian Brooch with Art Deco Buckle Half
I particularly love old buckles!
Here are a few recent pieces repurposed from my collection of antique buckles and jewelry.
As you mentioned, complete buckles are great twofers. Two necklace elements for the price of one.

Antique (#2 Half) Buckle Necklace
Of course, when a buckle is missing its other half, the price may be just right since it’s “incomplete”.
Two of these necklaces were made from 2 halves of the same buckle.

My most recent one, made last week is the Victorian mixed metal brooch and the Art Deco half buckle.
