Pistol-Packin’

One of my End-Of-Year pieces came about as I was decluttering my work space.

I gathered up a pistol brooch, empty .45 bullet casings, gold angel wings, spring-hinged stainless steel cuff bracelet & a couple of silver concho links.

I removed the pin from the brooch then soldered it to the hinge of the cuff, soldered on the bullet casings & angel wings, wire-wrapped the cuff and secured the conchos with leather laces. I wore it for the holidays, as we traveled out of state.

It caught attention everywhere; airports, restaurants, friends & family. Everyone loved it! Sometimes the best results come from spur-of-the-moment creativity.
