Old Buttons & An Old Drawer Back Plate Cuff Bracelet

You can make jewelry out of anything, including items that seem worlds apart. Too many “good things” just get discarded when they could start a whole new life completely different than how they were used originally.
The fun, creative part is figuring out how to do this in a balanced, cohesive way. I had an old brass backplate that went between the bureau itself and the pull. It was Eastlake style and I loved it.
After bending it to wrist shape I decided to keep the “old looking” theme and added a large antique glass jet button with two smaller black glass buttons off to the side. Of course some sparkle was a requirement for me.
I added two sections of a vintage bracelet to the back for a safety chain and a bit of felt to the back.
