Scotties Earrings

A few days ago I went to a local thrift store to check for items that I could repurpose for jewelry or use for displaying pieces. I also wanted to see if there were any Scrabble games so I could use the tiles for jewelry. No such luck.

However, while checking through the board games I spotted a Monopoly set. I checked to see if it had any players pieces. It did and I also found a second one which still had the players pieces.

Instant ear rings….or a charm bracelet!

As soon as I got home I went to work drilling holes in the pieces. By the time I had finished I’d decided to use them to make ear rings. I thought about putting a patina on some but decided to leave them the original color.

I think I’ll keep checking board games at the thrift store to see what other treasures can be found.
