Using Soft Flex Beading Wire Without Crimp Beads? - Discussion on Jewelry Making Journal

Hi, I am wondering if anyone has any tips for using “soft flex beading wire” in some way without having to use any crimp beads.

Are there ways of knotting it so that it will stay knotted?

  • Hello Mary Anne, I use cord end caps when threading beads onto cord or thread. If you look on any reputable bead site, such as Beads Direct, they have them available in different colours and weights. I use the ones where you can bend over two sides to pinch the cord within. They are usually made of bendable metal and grip the cord or thread well. Hope this helps, Margaret from Lancsrosedesigns.

Check the Soft Flex website too. I’m pretty sure I saw something there on this subject
