Quick-Dry Tip for Super Glue on Stretchy Bracelet Knots by Nita Bourne - featured on Jewelry Making Journal

I find it difficult to tie a secure knot when making stretch bracelets.

So I put a tiny drop of super glue on the knot.

Waiting for it to dry seems to take forever but I’ve come across a quick fix.

Sprinkle a little baking soda on the glue and it will set instantly.

It will set enough to continue working on the piece but as a safety precaution I let it cure overnight before putting too much stress on it.

This will work on any ethyl cyanocrylate glue.
