How To Store Varnished Jewelry?

I make handmade items from air dry clay.

They are mostly earring charms.

The clay is sculpted, dried, painted, and then varnished.

I use a polyurethane varnish on my pieces in varying levels of shine (gloss, satin, and matte).I am not sure how I should store my varnished items.

I am worried that the items might possibly stick to each other depending on how they are stored or if they become too hot in storage.

At the present moment all my earrings are hanging in display, but I am running out of room and they need to move somewhere else!

Has anyone had any experience with storing varnished items (not necessarily clay, but something having been varnished with polyurethane)?
