 My friend comes in contact with a lot of different people and whenever she is wearing a particular necklace I made for her, she gets compliments and inquiries about it.

I gave her a mini catalog with only this type of jewelry, so she can show the items to these interested people and take orders right away.
This works really well for customers who don’t like to order from a web site or have no time to get on the computer.

Great idea! I too am using a walking, talking professional – my neice the hairstylist. She has received so many comments on earrings I have made for her, that I am sending her a variety of earrings all priced at $20 with a display, or a basket for her patrons to go through waiting for their coloring to take – yet to be decided. Her commission is to pick a couple of pairs for herself. She has requested 10 pairs, but will send her extras – all in the same mailing. Am using some of the carding ideas from this site, and will find out what the local school/sports teams colors are before producing more. Here in Pittsburgh the gold and black theme rules! Have found that team colors are a great way to design.
