Who doesn’t love a free gift with a purchase? During this prime holiday business season, I offer a free pair of cute little ‘ear hugs’ with a specified purchase amount total. These are attractively displayed just below a sign with info about this special deal. People love these for themselves or a gift for someone else. Many have inquired about purchasing more, which I’m happy to oblige.
These earrings are so easy and inexpensive to make with 19 gauge heavy silver plated ball head pins. I can make a large amount in one evening to last the whole season.

What a co-incidence, I’ve got an event in my shop today so I’m giving a free gift with every purchase, and they are very similar little earrings! I’ve packaged mine in little black boxes with a bow around, ready to pop into the bag with other purchases (you can see them at www.facebook.com/Glance.Shildon on the ‘events’ page)The first pair were given just a few minutes ago, and it was lovely to surprise the customer, who didn’t know about the promotion. I also sell earrings with a similar-but-different design. Good luck with your jewellery this December.

I only sell my jewellery on-line from my website. I give a free gift with every purchase. Usually I give something that has been there for a long time and hasn’t sold. Like this Christmas season, I have been giving Christmas brooches and earrings which I had left over from last year.

I also give a pair of gift earrings with every purchase, no matter how big or small. Often, I make coordinating earrings when I’ve finished a necklace or bracelet (since I already have the beads out anyway).
If I have a pair of earrings on my website for a long time without selling, I take them off and put them in my “gift box.” I never thought about making a lot of gift earrings similar in style that could be done in batches, but I am thinking about it now. It would certainly be less expensive and also probably less work.
My customers love their gift earrings and I do think the practice brings them back to my shop.

I love the term “ear hugs” to describe these diminutive earrings. (And I, too, throw in a pair of earrings when a customer spends more than $75.)

I always have “gift” earrings at home parties for anyone who brings a guest, but I think the “gifts” would also be a great incentive for guests to make (larger) purchases. Thanks for the idea.

At the moment I do seasonal gifts, at this time of the year xmas I give candy sticks.

I also give a free gift w/ purchase; regardless of the amount spent. Lately it has a pair of earrings to match the necklace or bracelet. Since the beads are handy, it is easy and fast to create the earrings. In the past, I have also given little phone charms or tiny silk coin purses that can store earrings.
