Playing with Color and Polymer Clay

I am fairly new to polymer clay and learning more every day through just playing with the clay. I wanted to see what would happen if I tried to make my own custom colors of polymer clay.

Polymer Clay Colors

I started with the raspberry purple that is in the earrings and added various amounts of black clay to get the darker beads and various amounts of white clay to get the lighter beads.

The result was a beautiful necklace of hand rolled beads in various shades of purple ranging from very light lavender all the way to plum. Turned out to be a nice monochromatic piece.
