Japanese Lamp as Jewelry Display

Japanese matchstick bamboo lamp as jewelry display
My jewelry business, Paper Demon Jewelry, is devoted to Japan-inspired paper and wire jewelry.
I am always looking for ways to make my displays evoke Japan without overwhelming the jewelry.
Recently, I bought some Japanese matchstick bamboo lamps from Overstock.com. They cost about the same as a standard earring display, but they are SO much more stylish and modern!
I have only a few earrings on them now as I plan to use it as a samples display for local stores.
But for markets, I’ll fill all 4 sides in and put it on a lazy susan base from the hardware store.

I love this!

Not only is it a pretty and functional display – but it’s also awesome for your Japanese theme, Karen!
It could even be painted or stained if desired.
A great find and inspiration! Thanks so much for sharing it with us.
Great choice

This is perfect, Karen. I love the clean lines and the symmetry, and the way it ties in to the theme of your shop. Congratulations for “thinking outside of the box”, as it were!

This is a fabulous earring display idea! As you said, it doesn’t overwhelm your earrings but rather emphasizes their beauty. Perfect!
The complete display using the lamps
by: Paper Demon
I set up my display for a market tomorrow. It’s a small space so I’m using 3 lamps as jewelry displays, and I laid the fourth lamp on its side for vertical height. The cool thing is, I can actually put light bulbs in to the one on its side, and give my display a soft light at night.
