Are you asking for the length of the memory wire or the gauge?

  • Nancy Vaughan says:

Are asking about the diameter of the coil ? If you plan to use large beads you will want to use a larger diameter coil. Beadalon has a fairly decent selection of memory wire in different sizes and you can buy small amounts for a reasonable price if you would like to experiment different sizes and see which is more comfortable for a 7 inch wrist.

  • Mona Arnott says:

Generally you want the memory wire to go around your wrist 1 1/2 times in order for it to stay on. Use your wrist or a can of the same size to get a feel for how much wire is needed. As was mentioned above, the size of the beads you use will affect how much memory wire you will need. This is because they add to the overall diameter required to fit the wrist. I have learned it’s better to add the beads to the wire coil and figure out where to cut it off the coil then.
    Good luck and have fun
