Is 20 Gauge Plated Parawire Too Flimsy for Earwires That Will Be Sold?
Andrea
Recently I have made a few sets of super simple earwires I believe I learned from you along the way… basically they are a bent piece of wire in a u, v, or fish shape. I love them and get lots of compliments and my first real craft show is coming up in a week (a little late asking :/ sorry!) and Id like to have some.
However, they work fine for me in 20g Parawire wire, but I’m concerned they may be too bendy for some people and easily lose any shape.
Should I hammer them?
Get one of those 2 plate hardner dodads? (Im looking at rock tumblers, but am overwhelmed… and not sure if that would help?)
What do you all suggest?
Right now I use almost exclusively parawire, so its not as flimsy as craft store wire, but maybe thats my issue.
Oops, PS- the Parawire says its “premimum quality non tarnish wire” and is plated, but the plating has never chipped off… it does not have a hardness listed.
Thanks again!
Thanks for everything!
Andrea
