Reliquary Necklace #1

My reliquary necklaces are inspired by my own tendency to collect random little things that I find interesting or that are meaningful in some way.

My favorite shape is the Gothic arch, shown in the photo of Prague, echoed in my sterling silver necklace, it is also the shape of two windows in our c.1840’s stone farmhouse.

Ive filled the bezel with a small vintage Frozen Charlotte doll, dug up from the dirt in Germany, raw garnet stones & vintage ephemera, all kept safe under jewelry grade resin.
Torn remnants of silky rayon fabric are wrapped with sterling silver, interspersed with semi-precious stones. I’ve oxidized all the sterling silver for a timeless look.

“She collected the worlds debris. Things that seemed of no value to the rest were of unmeasurable value to her…she saw the items as evidence of lives lived and the touch of humans.”
