The First Frost of Autumn

My Muse: Photo 1 – Red Leaves

I can’t say I don’t like autumn, but it’s my least favorite season. Love the colors though. When I saw the first picture I instantly thought about a poem and my gray fresh water pearls.

The poem “The fist frost of Autumn” by Samuel G. Goodrich was my second inspiration. It was a joy working on the necklace, with the picture and a fragment of the poem in my mind
“..It climbed to the ash on the mountain’s height–
It flew to the meadow, and hovering light
O’er leafy forest and fragrant dell,
It bound them all in its silvery spell.”
