I love autumn. It’s truly my favorite season, and living now in the South, I often long for the cool crisp days, the smell of pine and cinnamon in the air, and the best part=the changing of the leaves.
Every year, I find myself trying to bring home more of those scents, scenes and colors in a variety of ways. In this necklace, I wanted a way to carry with me my favorite season of all!
Dyed magnesite and orange aventurine make up the chain, and I created the oak leaf pendant myself from copper sheet, sawn, hammered, forged and etched. Carnelian and a copper charm finish the focal. A very hot LOS bath created the beautiful colors.
