Religious Pendant – Wire Wrapped and Woven Cross
by Mei Tan.
(Kuching, Malaysia)
I used 19ga wire for the frame of this swirly wire wrap cross while for the swirls I used 20ga wire. The focal is a piece of coin pearl.
I have a tutorial for this cross at my Etsy Shop if you are interested.
The second cross (Weaved Cross) is inspired by Iza. I am sure you know of her if you are into wire jewelry 🙂
This time around the stone is tourmaline and the wire I used is 20ga. Don’t try this out, or else you will get addicted to the weaving 🙂 Just like me.

Beautiful crosses

Just gorgeous, Mei! Each cross is so different yet beautifully wirewrapped.
I love the filigree effect in the first one – and the second is just stunning with its precise wraps.
Your work is always a treat to see!
Beautiful wirework!

Your crosses are beautifully done. The wirework is neat, precise and interesting. Many crosses tend to look rigid to me. These flow so beautifully with curves here and there. I usually don’t wear crosses but I would wear one of these.
