Bead Embroidered Barrette

Finished barrette, easy peasy
I love beaded barrettes. I made this one from a beautiful Green Onyx cabochon and two agate cabs.
A simple design using seed beads, pearls.

Glued and first round of beading
Glue down the cabs with E-6000 onto Nicole’s beadbacking.

Beading Complete adding barrette and backing
Using back stitch, peyote stitch beads around cabs, fill in gaps with some pearls, attach barrette, cover with ultra suede, bead around the edges with brick stitch and a picot and voila barrette is complete.

Cut around barrette and begin edging
Bead embroiderdry is such a versatile beading technique, simple or complex lots of fun.
