Building Your Jewelry Business Email List

Doing business online is tough; there’s a lot of competition out there.

So how do I get people to my jewelry website? How do I grow my jewelry business e-mail list? These are questions I have asked myself over and over.

Hold a Monthly Drawing

I can’t afford big advertising, but I can afford to give away a piece of jewelry or a hat once a month.

One of the things I started is giving away an item in my shop in a monthly drawing to someone on my e-mail list.

I choose the item and draw a name out of a hat. I then send an e-mail to that person requesting their mailing address so I can send their free gift.

They have to be on my e-mail list to get a chance at the drawing.

It also gives me a good way to announce a new item or sale and get folks to my site who are on my e-mail list but have not stopped by in a while.

I always send an e-mail to everyone to announce the winner (first name only). My sales have increased almost as well as my traffic!

Reward People Who Refer
the Most New Subscribers

Another thing I just started is I am giving away a specific piece to the person who has the most referrals actually sign up on my e-mail list. The contest lasts only one day, July 11th.

Just remember that in the event of a tie you don’t want to be sending out 15 free gifts! I have a statement in there that states “In the event of a tie a winner will be chosen by a random drawing”.

My customers don’t mind asking their friends to sign up, as I only send out 1 or 2 e-mails a month. I don’t want to inundate their mailboxes!

I hope this helps someone!
