Make It Clear That Your Jewelry is Handmade - Discussion on Jewelry Making Journal

Hello from Switzerland! I am quite new in the jewelry business but have already attended some shows. Since I serve a very specific market at the moment with my products – I craft jewelry for bellydancers – the shows were not your typical craft shows, but some sort of trade fairs where you can also get costumes and other dance accessories.

Jewel of Kalima – handmade bindi worn as forehead embellishment by dancers

Most of the vendors there are resellers, so my handmade approach is kind of unique. I try to use every chance I get to tell the people that my things are handmade and I always get surprised reactions like “You really made all of this beautiful jewelry all by yourself? Wow!”

TicToc Peacock – headdress with chain and peacock feathers

I really want to make it clear to people that come to my booth that my things are handmade without giving them a lecture all the time – but how can I make that really prominent?
