Faux Opals in Orbit

I love working with Polymer Clay. It inspires me, almost talks to me while I’m shaping the beads.
This piece was inspired while looking at Egyptian jewelry. In the book they were making the relationship between the Egyptians’ studies of the stars and the jewelry.
Anyway, the stones are polymer and the connector beads are silver-plated metal.

Thank you Kate. I’m new at this, it’s nice to know someone is actually seeing my stuff.

I love the clean, uncluttered design of this necklace. The differing heights of the beads give an interesting effect that could be modern art as well as ancient Egypt.
Really a neat piece – thank you for sharing your creation with us, Line!

thank you so much for your comments. It’s made me smile this morning. Some days I wonder why I do all this stuff. I love doing it but the sales are not flowing and I begin to doubt myself. Comments like yours renew my faith in myself. This is my second full year at playing with polymer clay. i love it. I’m am always amazed at the new things you can do with it.
thank you again.
