Repurposing Mom’s Earrings

I love the rustic vintage look of this one. It features some interesting enameling, but finding complementary beads was challenging.
My dear mother passed away recently leaving me with almost 100 pairs of costume clip-on earrings.

This one turned out to be my favorite. I just couldn’t part with it and wear it often, getting a lot of compliments.
She was a real fashion maven but was squeamish about getting her ears pierced.

Another one of my favorites. I love the dainty look of this one.
No one was interested in buying clip-on earrings, so I set about using some of them as pendants on necklaces featured in my Etsy shop.

Adding a matching faux leather tassel really made this “turquoise” pendant pop.
I pried off the clip and used my Dremel to smoothly file the back.
I then glued on a bale and set about finding complementary beads to finish off the necklace.
Some I paired with bracelets and/or earrings using the same complementary beads to make sets.
I’m pleased with the results and have sold quite a few. I think Mom would have approved.
