Picasso Jasper Necklace

I saw this amazing Picasso Jasper pendant at one of my local Bead Shows and I knew I could do something fantastic with it.

So I used gold color S-Lon nylon cord and crocheted some Picasso Beads along with some copper and glass beads.

I also used vintage leather and made it an adjustable necklace.

    Dear Rena,

Hi! Just wanted to thank you for responding to my question and my fears about walking into a store to sell my beautiful jewelry. Wow-I was pleasantly surprised when you answered me back and so quickly!

I loved Denise Bellinger’s Picasso Jasper piece that was featured in the newsletter! Wow! It was gorgeous and glad to see another artist with such a beautiful piece!

    Sincerely,
    Kim Bantle

  • Denise, I agree, this is an extraordinary Picasso jasper. Your wirework and your bead and nylon cord colors are perfect choices for this pendant, and the necklace style is a good fit, too.

  • Kim, thank you for your lovely message!

  • Dawn Carpino says:

I love this necklace. Jasper is so beautiful, isn’t it? How did you make the necklace adjustable in the back?

  • This necklace is beautiful and unique. Thanks for sharing it here with us.

  • Irene Vrbensky says:

    Wow! A beauty.

  • Irene Vrbensky says:

I love the wire wrap on the jasper pendant but how did you manage to keep it on. I don’t see any drilled holes at the bottom to put the wire through. Thank you.

  • Rita Muller says:

This is stunning. Jasper is one of my all time favorites and this one is gorgeous! I’m jealous, lol, I’m going to look for something similar, but the beauty of Jasper is there are never two that are the same. Thank you for sharing.

  • LINDA TENNEY says:

Denise, love your beautiful work with a beautiful stone! Love jaspers!

  • Chris Rehkop says:

Great necklace Denise! I use various types of jasper often in my designs.

  • Kathy Joyal says:

Very nice design. The wire wrap compliments the lines in the stone.
This stone is one of my 2 favourites…the other is Labradorite.

  • Denise says:

    Thank you so much Rena.

  • Denise says:

Thanks so much Dawn. I did a macrame slide knot to make it adjustable.

  • Denise says:

Hi Irene, actually there is a drilled hole at the top of the stone. I always try to wrap my wire to hide it, I think it gives it a much cleaner look.

  • Denise says:

We think alike Kathy, Picasso Jasper and Labradorite are two of my favorites for sure!

  • Thank you all for taking the tome for all your kind remarks on this beautiful necklace.

  • Denise Bellinger says:

Thank you so much Kim. I really appreciate your sweet & kind words about my Picasso Jasper necklace. Sometimes it’s hard putting such beautiful jewelry up for sale and not keeping it for myself. I bought two of these amaze stones when I saw them at a gem show here in Costa Mesa Ca. I still need to figure out a design for the other one.
