I’m not sure what the original purpose was for the wire in this necklace. It’s another rescue job from a discarded design that has been re-worked.

The stones in this necklace are jasper which is one of my favorites to work with. The design of the wire frame just happened to have open spaces the right sizes and shapes to use the different shapes of jasper I had in my stash.

Fitting the stones into the various shapes made by the wire was a bit like putting a puzzle together. Luckily I had 5 different shapes to work with. Since the stones in a strand usually vary in sizes all I had to do was find the right ones.

My scrap/discard box has proven to be a real “gold mine” filled with copper.
