My Newest Copper & Turquoise Pendant

by Becky Jamin.
(Florida, United States)

This was made from ‘re-purposed’ 71 year old copper sheet. When the roof on my house needed replacing, I kept all the ‘valley’ copper, 90 linear ft!

Since the copper had been in the Florida heat for so many years, it was already annealed. I’m teaching myself form folding and other metal working techniques.

I also used 14 gauge ‘re-purposed’copper wire, drawing balls on the ends then attaching the turquoise piece over the wire pieces.

It now is hanging with a knotted piece of brown leather cord. I also made the hook/eye clasp from 24ga. wire. Sorry for the dark image. I’m quite proud of my Copper pendant!
