What’s the Best Way to Store Base Metals

I would like to know how long can I store the jewelry supplies at my home before the materials loses its appearance and beauty.

I would like to do a small handmade jewelry business but I am scared to buy the materials in bulk as I am not sure if the materials will become dull after some time if I store it at home.

I would not be buying precious metals and natural gem stones.
