Blown Glass Dot Implosion Pendant

The Dot Implosion is a new design that I’ve been really enjoying making.
I blow out a thin clear glass bubble and draw dots of colored glass onto the bubble using a small flame. I heat and blend the dots in the flame in a large flame, then blow out the bubble again and shrink it down.

The process of blowing and shrinking the dots creates the complex dot pattern. Each design can have anywhere from 50 to 250 dots.
It’s a meticulous process but I love it!
