After spending the past 4 years buying, collecting and finding beads, I had quite a “STASH” and it was all in boxes in the extra closet.

This way I didn’t loose anything but I also didn’t know what I had on hand when I started creating.

I would end up making a trip to my favorite bead store to buy more thus creating a viscious cycle.

My husband saw a cabinet used for tools in a garage and thought it might work for me.

It wasn’t big enough. Ha Ha!

So we talked to a friend who is a wood worker and he created a cabinet just for my bead supplies. It is 8ft. wide and 4ft. tall with pegboard and I ordered a case of little “S” hooks.

Voila! No more hidden boxes.

Now I can get creative by just looking at everything and keep it all neat and tidy.

Close up the cabinet and it looks great for company.

  1. I am so jealous. 😉

I would love to have three of these across one entire wall in my bedroom. I love how you can hang your strands, and move the hooks if you need more space.

  2. What a great idea, and also handy to be able to shut the doors to hide everything. I love the versatility of the pegboard system. I bet you had so much fun filling the cabinet when you first got it! 🙂

  3. That’s like having your very own bead store at home! I love it! So jealous now 🙂

  4. This is such a great idea! Everything is easy to see at a glance.

    Awesome! That is amazing.

  8. I’m with the “love-the-idea” and “I’m jealous” crowd! 🙂

  9. Great idea, and can be hung behind a door and not take up extra room in the studio.

  10. Such a great idea! I’ve been thinking that I need some type of storage where I can see all of my supplies…this is fantastic, and inspiring!!

I did the same idea as this with a very fine black wire mesh fireplace screen. I used Christmas ornament hooks to hook strings of beads on the wire mesh.
