Windmills Earrings up close

I sketched a circle-2x2inches-with a small center circle and 12 evenly spaced parts radiating from the edge to the small circle; laid it on 34 gauge sterling silver sheet, and cut out my silver circle.

one at a time look

Then I cut along each line to the inner circle to separate my 12 parts. I rounded and sanded each part; then the fun began!

a gander at the backside

By pushing each piece over the other, it twirled and depressed the inner circle. I continued to manipulate the windmill parts; adding dimension by bending a bit, until I was happy with the spiral!

another look at the wonderful colorplay

I punched a small hole where one piece overlaid another, so it would be hidden(for an earwire). Then-more fun!-a quick dip in a hot liver of Sulphur solution. What cool gasoline slick colors! Love the look! Added 14kt goldfilled French earwires to make super light and super different earrings!
