Weathering the Storm

I created this necklace for a polymer clay challenge. The theme was “moods.”
Well, I was feeling quite stormy at the time and wanted to embrace that mood. The pendant is the result I achieved and thought it captured the storm quite nicely. There is that calm about it at the same time as the churning that goes on with it.
I used some vintage beads that added more “weather” to it. The black discs are made from clay as well and have my signature fair trade coffee kneaded into them.
I was quite happy with the way the piece turned out. It actually turned into a kind of therapy that helped calm my storm down.
The necklace is for sale on my website – I’m currently have a Christmas in July sale.
I’d love your feedback!

Black is one of my favorites and this shows it off nicely. I like how you used the vintage beads for contrast. I don’t know that I would consider it stormy but it is great.

I LOVE your name for your piece. Several articles back, Rena mentioned how naming your pieces and adding depth to their story was unique. Your piece is proof that she is correct again! Your work is beautiful. Thank you for sharing it.
Thanks!
