“The Climb” and Your Jewelry Business

I was driving home the other day and always like to listen to the radio as I love music. Music can be very inspiring and being a jewelry designer and entrepreneur, I am a very inspirational person.
This one song I was listening to, I had heard many times before – but finally I really listened to the lyrics.
“The Climb” by Miley Cyrus couldn’t say it any better.
If you really listen to these lyrics it certainly will pertain to almost everyone’s life.
After all, no matter what you do for a living, whether you are a carpenter, teacher, mailman, stay at home mom or even a top business entrepreneur… it’s all about “keep on moving, keep on climbing, it’s all about the climb” rings true for you and everyone.
You may be at an “uphill battle” right now. Your future, your finances, your debt may all seem like a “mountain”. And you may be at a point where you don’t know where to turn.
Decide now to make that “climb”. To overcome your fear and to see that there really is success on the other side.
Start that home or online business or service, don’t put off that dream you have been dreaming about . . . start the “climb” now.
See yourself as strong and able to overcome the obstacles that may be in your way. You may find that your battle wasn’t as bad as you thought it would be.
I remember over four years ago I had a lot of fear of starting my jewelry business and thought my battle was too big to accomplish.
But when I broke it down into months, then days and then even hours, I could wake up the next morning and take those steps to “climb” that mountain.
And on the other side?
Well, I found success and yet even more mountains, but not as big and I knew it would not be as fearful.
And I took each day moving up and forward, learning with simple successes and also learning from small failures.
It IS “the climb” that gets us to where we need to be. Keys to success just might be as simple as making “the climb”.
Will you make that climb?

Inspiring Perspective
by: Rena
Thank you, Lynn, for this inspiring perspective!
I too have often found that while I’m just going about my regular day, I suddenly hear song lyrics that provide insight, solutions, or even a laugh at myself when I’m getting too serious!
I truly think it’s one of the many ways the Divine / the Universe delivers messages we need.
I appreciate your sharing this here. It’s a valuable thought to keep in mind as I continue my climb! :o)

I would like to add that staying the course and remembering the basic fundamentals that got you into the position ” To Climb” is also important.
Inspiration from your heart is called “Heartpower
and by capturing the heart, you’ve captured the person”.

These are such wise words….
by: Ann Nolen
I agree so much with your wise words in your article. Years ago my husband and I has a small business together and often took seminars to learn business management techniques. One day our instructor talked about saving money… he said if you look at the total you need, you will never start. He made each of us calculate the amount we needed to save per day to meet our goal. All of a sudden it seemed to be an easy thing to accomplish. I learned the lesson, and often break big projects into daily steps to reach my goal. It has become one the of strongest business tools I use. Thanks for telling your story and sharing this with so many people.

Hello Lyn, I too love to listen to the radio and every now and then find that a song does resonate with how I am thinking and relating to my business- one song (author and title unknown-sorry) was about taking the chance before it was too late, another by Lenie Cravitz- Believe in Yourself is another one that inspires me to keep moving towards a goal. It is really great to read about other jewellery artists that seem to be just like me in the way I think , do and see life. Thanks for your lovely article.

So true and very timely!

Thank you so much for your words of inspiration. You have no idea at how timely these words are, particularly to me as I am focusing on growing my jewelry business and everyday seems like an uphill climb with so much to do. Recently, I took a notebook and jotted down everything I could possibly think of that needed to get gone to begin to fulfill my dream. The list was overwhelming and I had to continuously remind myself that I’m only one person and there’s only 24 hours in a day. So divide and conquer became my motto, prioritizing the tasks and taking them on one day, one week and one month at a time. I’m confident that everything will most certainly fall into place and my dream with be a reality and your words have confirmed that. Thanks again!
