Selling Jewelry at Summer Resorts

For the last several years, I have been lucky enough to sell my jewelry at the semi-rustic Adirondack resort where we go each year for our summer vacation.

Charm bracelets, “Log Cabin” and “Aqua”

They don’t have a shop, but they display my jewelry in the case in the office where they sell candy bars(!) and a few other resort related items. I make jewelry specifically for them, calling on nature, Adirondack and outdoor themes.

My signature pieces are charm bracelets which use silver charms with a mix of semi-precious stones. They and my other jewelry always sell! People really love taking home a one of a kind, high quality souvenir.

This is a beloved vacation spot which people return to year after year, even generation after generation.

I have had people take my card and email me later in the year, asking for birthday and Christmas gifts in themes of the area, and of this particular resort. I even did the jewelry for a fall wedding being held there, in the same themes.

This isn’t my main style during the rest of the year, but I have a lot of fun designing these pieces, and have very good sales. I do offer some pieces in my usual designs as well. I would highly recommend pursuing this kind of venture…people on vacation are more likely to spend money!
