Orphan Chain Necklace

I’m sending along a pic of a project I took on this week. At the first of this year, I started attending metal smithing and basic soldering classes.

Orphan Chain!

Orphan Chain!

While I’m enjoying this venture into stretching myself, whew! This soldering business is a big learning curve. After several setbacks this week, I decided I needed a win to feel better about my journey into jewelry design.

More Orphan Chain!

More Orphan Chain!

Hence the reason I sat down and pulled out all sorts of of copper wire, random beads and bead caps. This girl needed to go back to the familiar and remind herself “yes she can.”

That's all folks!

That’s all folks!

Man, that was both stimulating and inspirational. Nothing like a little wire wrapping to get the blood flowing once again! My orphan chain does have a soldering project I took on trying to understand the whole process a little better.

Tadaaaa…. The Orphan Chain is born.
