Necklace – Flower Bouquet for Your Neck

Here is the finished piece, pendant and necklace of beads
In my posts I have always shown a finished piece.
I decided to try and show how a design can come about…at least in my head.

Starting with the metal parts, you can get these brass findings at many outlets. On the web, search “brass stampings” and you will surely find many parts for your own ideas.
I included pictures of the parts and the finished piece.
Any questions or need help, feel free to ask.

Once the parts are decided on, I lay them out, face down and solder the branches together, solder the leaves and caps to hold the glass flowers.

Let the metal cool, wire the flowers into the caps, a little E-6000 glue will secure the glass. It’s a learning process and I will say the solder doesn’t always cooperate, persevere and you’ll get it eventually. A tip, always anneal the brass you are soldering and use flux.
