“Acorn Necklace”

About this time last year, I fell in love with memory wire.

Yes, I’ve bangled excessively!

For the past few months, I’ve been thinking “what else can I do with this wire?”

So I’ve turned my eye to earrings and necklaces.

The attached photo is of a very simple yet fun piece to make with the fall weather in mind.

I’m terrible at stringing, yet have lots of bead/end caps – SO – I took a small piece of necklace sized memory wire and strung some black akoya pearls together with brushed silver caps, turned the wire ends to tiny loops and added some pretty chain.

Voila – my “Acorn Necklace”!

  1. Thank you for posting my little acorn necklace… so fun to be here!

  2. And it’s lovely to see you (and your acorn necklace) here, Janine! 🙂 What a clever way to use your bead caps to create acorns – it’s a perfect necklace for Fall. And it’s nice to see Fall jewelry in colors of black and silver!
