I have the most fun making pieces free form like putting together a puzzle without a picture.

TWlaschin: Metal Me Up Please 1

My process is highly intuitive cause I have no drawing skills. This piece started as a slab of conditioned black poly clay to which I added texture.

Then I painted it with metallic inks and cut shapes from it. Since I don’t like waste, I also took the leftover cutout clay and hand formed the pieces into shapes I liked.

Then came the part of putting the pieces together to create a design I liked. After I was happy with that, I placed the centerpiece unit on a curved necklace blank and cured it.
