Waxed Linen and Turquoise Beaded Macrame Bracelet by Michelle Buettner
My sister taught me to macrame this summer when I was showing her a bracelet I was trying to make and so I’ve been creating these little bracelets lately and also tons of those beaded wrap bracelets everyone’s making these days too, because they’re super easy to create and fun to wear as well!

I’m making several different versions of both types to sell at the Annual Nutrioso BBQ in Arizona at the end of July with some of the proceeds going to help out the Fire Department and a couple of the families who were affected by the Wallow Fire this summer, since this is where we usually spend our summers.

Hopefully it won’t rain and all will go well!
I saw Rena’s tutorial on the beaded crochet bracelet she did and now I’m really wanting to try my hand at that (but of course I have no idea how to crochet!). It looked really pretty and like it would be really fun to make and wear!

I have always liked macrame

And the way you interwove it with the beads is wonderful. However I cannot decide which is my favorite since they all have a special look.
Thanks!

Thanks Leigh – I can’t decide which is my fav either.
I blew out my elbow earlier this year hammering out too many earring wires for customers and have been forced to find a less “harmful” (at least to myself)way of creating jewelry and bracelets have become my obsession – especially ones using leather, hemp, and waxed linen!
The fun thing is that the possibilities and ways to make them are endless!
Nice Variation

I like the sleek look – fewer knots. Do you mind if I ask what material you use for the “silk wrap” portions?
Very inspiring.
