Ode to Val Sterling Silver Sampler Chainmaille Bracelet
This is a sterling silver chainmaille sampler bracelet, incorporating Full Persian, Helms, Byzantine and European 4-in-1.
I named this bracelet in honour of Valma Spencer-Sun, an Australian chainmailler who not only supplied me with my first rings, but was kind enough to honestly critique my first work, and give me encouragement to continue.
The beads are made by Moose Trail beads, and I was quite proud of the handmade clasp, including hand-making and soldering the thick ring.

Gorgeous chain work

I like the “sampler” idea, demonstrating stretches of different chain patterns. Also, I love how you incorporate the beads into the design – including into the clasp. The clasp and ring have a definite look of handmade quality.
I think it’s cool you dedicated this beautiful piece to your mentor – lucky Val!
