Little Fairy Necklace and Earrings Set

This necklace and earrings set is one of two that I made as part of a commission to do the jewelry for a co-worker’s wedding.

She showed me the dresses the junior bridesmaids (her daughters, ages 7 & 9) would be wearing, gave me her colors and theme and off I went to shop for beads!

I make a lot of jewelry, but I most enjoy that which I custom make.

Doing custom work gives me the opportunity to develop the pieces to match the client – the personality and purpose of the piece will emerge and become somewhat evident in the finished product.

Anyway I have met these impish girls on several occasions and had some idea of what might be appropriate for them – something cute, fairy-like but not dainty, more durable and earthy, representative of all things inquisitive and active girls enjoy.

These sets captured this essence quite properly and they absolutely loved them!
