I saw this idea watching Candie Cooper. She used a strand of chunky Jessie James beads.

Ran a 22g wire through all the beads, made a messy loop and then took the wire and wrapped it around each bead both directions ending with a messy loop at the other end.

Then she used chunky chain to finish it. Very easy and looks great.
