Inventory: What Do I Include?

Hi all! I’m making the jump and making jewelry as a business. I talked to a tax professional and she said to do a beginning of the year inventory.

I have counted all my made jewelry pieces, but the components are still waiting.

Do I need to count every 4mm bead and head pin?

How do I place a worth on them or do I need to?

I make a lot of “one of a kind” so I buy from auctions as well as businesses. Will a Paypal statement do for receipts?

I want to make sure and do this right so any suggestions or guidelines, software programs you use, just anything would be helpful.
