Help With Cross Weave Stitch Please

Hello, I am making a V-shaped pearl necklace for a customer using cross weave stitch and using Swarovski 6mm pearls and clear silver-lined 11/0 seed beads. (From far off, it almost looks like a double strand necklace.)

I am using Accuflex 49-strand, 0.014 inch diameter beading wire. Problem I am having is that there are parts of the necklace that do not lay flat. Some areas seem to twist a little, especially when putting it around the neck.

I just do not feel comfortable selling it like it is to my customer. I am thinking that maybe I need to use a different type/size wire. Any suggestions?
