Hearts Desire Pendant

Hearts Desire reversible pendant - textured fine silver side

I was at a jewelry show with a friend and this heart shaped turquoise cabochon caught my eye. It sat on my desk and then one day I went to work on it.

Hearts Desire reversible pendant - cabochon side

It is set with fine Silver from PMC. And because I am passionate about texture and design, it can be flipped over to show off another design…ever so versatile.

Setting stones in PMC is quite a challenge but with a little practice you can make a statement piece that’s bound to get noticed.

To view some of my other designs please visit Vine Design and PMC Design Studio. If you live in or travel to the San Francisco Bay Area, I offer Precious Metal Clay instruction in my studio. My current schedule is posted on my site.

Beautiful and rustic

The reversible pendant is a beautiful idea for this necklace. The textured silver detail on the back is a lovely touch – it makes the entire piece more unique, versatile, and desirable.

It’s fun saving a special stone for just the right project – which this surely is!

Great Work

Your work, your student’s work and your photos are fabulous and your style is very professional. Good Job!

Love the turquoise heart too!

Love doing the reverse side
by: Ann Nolen

Lovely and elegant pendant. Very clever to do both sides. Your customers would sure see that as a great value, getting essentially two pendants in one.

Gives me some thinking to do on my coin jewelry…

love it

Love your piece, the detail and the versitility. Great blog – really relate to the part about staying up at night creating ideas in a notebook – that would get them out of my head 🙂 Wish I was closer, I would take a PMC course from you, you sound like my kind of artist

What an imagination!

Your work shows so much imagination with a nice marriage of metals. I love it. I’m inspired to do more texturing like this on my pendants, which you can see at: http://en.dawanda.com/shop/barbarajacquin
Keep up your good work!

You know you rock when…

…other artisans want your work!! I was blown away by your designs! I used to smith, and miss it, but it’s so expensive now. PMC is much more versatile and I’ve been wanting to work with it. You’ve lit the fire under my butt to give it a try! Awesome work ~ thanks for sharing your beautiful talent.

Absolutely beautiful!

I just love your work, especially the ones featuring birds, and all your rings! Even the pieces I could not wear myself, I think are gorgeous! – but most of them I would be thrilled to wear. Sure hope you get an on-line store going eventually – although you will probably sell out all the time 🙂 Thanks so much for sharing.

Beautiful!

I am so intrigued by your designs. Not just this one but the ones in your studio.
Bronze is a favorite of mine and so many of your pieces feature it. Just lovely. I’ve heard it is hard to work with but not so in your case!
Your rings are to die for.
I’m so glad you shared your two-sided pendant and your site. It is an inspiration for me.
Thank you,
Diana
