Flower and Cross

I am a beginner in the craft of making jewelry, as of September 2016, and already I am smitten.

The pieces I have on show are mixed metal, copper, brass and 925.

The techniques used are hammered, stamped, reticulated silver and patina.

I welcome any feedback, hints, tips, constructive criticism.

Many thanks, Steve.

  1. Nice work, Steve! Thanks so much for sharing this part of your jewelry design journey with us. It looks like you’re doing a great job of learning, growing your skills, and loving what you do. I especially like your flower and cross pendants.

  2. It’s horribly addictive, isn’t it? You get to be creative, use your imagination and play with fire, all at the same time. Your design ideas are terrific!

  3. I love your design sense. I too am getting my jewelry bench prepared to work more with metals. The one suggestion I have is to work on the photos a bit. The fuzziness detracts from your beautiful work. I know…it is kind of a Pain you know where to get good photos, but there is lots of great info out there to help with that important skill now. (I am working on this as well!) Good luck and have lots of fun!

  4. Steve,

Good to see another guy designing. Keep it up, you’re doing great!

  5. If these are what you are doing as a beginner, I can’t wait to see what you come up with as you learn more tricks of the trade. Very nice work.
